For makers

Sell 3D printed topographic maps

People love a 3D map of a place that matters to them. Maker gives you the files, the detail and a commercial licence to sell the prints you make from them.

What Maker includes

  • 200 model downloads a month in STL, 3MF and GLB.
  • High detail that follows your nozzle, for crisp ridges on big prints.
  • Your customer’s words on the base: two engraved lines, and no tinytopo.com mark.
  • A commercial licence to sell physical prints.
  • A priority export queue, for busy weeks.

$15 a month or $120 a year. Cancel any time.

What the licence covers

With an active Maker plan you may sell physical prints made from the STL and 3MF files you download while subscribed, and that stays true for those files after you cancel. The licence covers physical prints. It doesn’t cover selling or sharing the files themselves, or selling posters and images: the imagery in those stays subject to its providers’ terms. The full wording is in the terms.

Workflow

A custom order in three steps

  1. Frame the customer’s place

Search for the town, summit or lake they ask for, or paste coordinates, and frame it.

  2. Add their words and size

Two lines of text on the base, the width in millimetres, and tiles for big orders.

  3. Download, print, ship

3MF keeps units for Bambu Studio and PrusaSlicer. Downloading the same model again within a week is free.

Questions

What can I sell?

Physical prints made from model files (STL, 3MF) you downloaded while on Maker: on Etsy, at markets or in your own shop.

Can I sell the files, posters or images?

No. The licence covers physical prints only. Files are for your own printing, and imagery in posters and videos stays subject to its providers’ terms.

What if I cancel?

Prints from files you downloaded while on Maker stay licensed. Downloads after you cancel aren’t covered.

Is there a watermark?

No. Maker files carry no tinytopo.com engraving; the base is yours, for your customer’s names or nothing at all.

Can I start without a subscription?

A Print Pack ($6 for 5 downloads) is a good way to try the files, but the commercial licence comes with Maker only.
